Whose house? Run House.


Nike asked us to create a home for runners, a meeting-place for their campaign 'Take Mokum' (Mokum being a colloquial term for Amsterdam). It opened today at the van Baerlestraat 5 in Amsterdam, near the Vondelpark. Whose house? Say what? Run house.











Grégoire Alexandre for Bugaboo




We went to Paris to do a shoot with photographer extraordinaire Grégoire Alexandre for Bugaboo. We teamed up with him and set designer Jean Michel Bertin to portray the iconic Bugaboo Cameleon, with all his functionalities, as never seen before.

The result: 1 image, 10 all black bugaboo's & 1.000+ white building blocks...

The images are one half of the new Cameleon campaign. They show the functional side of the stroller. We also did a shoot documenting Cameleon-owners in Amsterdam and Barcelona with Alek, more on that soon!

TNT zomerpostzegels



We designed a series of postage stamps for TNT Post and the Nationaal Ouderen Fonds (national fund for the elderly). They where launched yesterday. The stamps celebrate the 75th edition of the Zomerzegels (summer stamps) and feature Dutch Heroes that are or would have been 75 years and older. The launch was featured in both RTL Boulevard and SBS Shownieuws, the two main Dutch tv-shows about entertainment and stuff. Sorry, video's are in Dutch!

BoCinq identity










BoCinq is a bar and brasserie, with classy French-Arab inspired dishes, cocktails and bites. The interior, with its four dining rooms, lounges and a concrete bar, is designed in an honest and elegant style. We created a strong relationship between the interior and the identity. The design is handcrafted, both raw and refined, and exudes sophistication with a sexy attitude. Everything was custom-made, from typeface to printing techniques. The art collection of BoCinq served as a first inspiration for all identity elements.

We developed four logo elements: ‘V’, the Roman symbol for ‘5’, is used for the VIP entrance, ‘BoCinq’ is the overall name and logo, ‘Bo5’ is only used for tableware and ‘5’ is reflected in several items as a playful feature. The identity consists of menus, postcards, the bill, matches, a calendar and signatures.

Spring is in the air at Maison de Bonneterie! Printemps à Paris is the new theme of this season with un après-midi au louvre, i love café au lait, a walk at la seine and j’adore le soleil.

SPINATH+WAKKIE




We've been busy with this identity for a small and very exclusive business consulting firm. We went on a field trip to Rotterdam this morning to a printer where they where working on the SPINATH+WAKKIE identity. They are one of two printers in Holland where they still do very old-fashioned engraved printing on a pre-WW1 machine. It takes about 6 weeks to make the hand-engraved plates used for the printing, the ink needs several days to dry. The effect is a feeling of very high quality and a very rich black print, almost impossible to match with other printing techniques. When it's dry we'll have some more examples...

W Hotel Barcelona










Luxury boutique hotel chain W Hotels Worldwide just opened a new hotel in Barcelona, Spain. We were asked to integrate the WOW in the W. We developed a tasteful and catchy narrative and translated this into different concepts for art installations in identified public area’s within the hotel.

W Hotel Barcelona stands as a landmark on the Barcelona coastline overlooking the old harbour. The reflecting facade of silvered glass blends with sky colors and sea sparkles. The building is a ode to its spectacular location. Walking through the spaces, the guest is reminded of its stunning location over and over again. At unexpected moments the guest is given a view on the city skyline and sea horizon.

The interior, its materials, colors and surfaces, are in harmony with its environment and reflect its elements, allowing the spectacular view to be the most pristine element to be found in the building.

Beige, yellow and white tones blend in with the sand colors of the beach. Light oak and dark limestone remind you of bleached branches and volcanic rocks found on the shore. Mint green, aluminum and stainless steel surfaces reflect the colors of the sky blending in with the sea on a gray day. Coral red adds another dimension to the color scheme, found when diving into the surprising underwater world.

But, looking closer, you discover details which nature has to offer: reflecting patterns of fish, slow-moving coral trees, glittering sparkles on a sunny beach.

And then there is the shift from day to night. The wide, light and open space transforms in a dark mystical place. The pastel palette of the bleaching sun changes into a contrasting palette of dark sky with pop up colors of city lights. When you dive into the sea you discover something similar. Fluorescent coral, glowing jellyfish and sparkling plankton; minimal but impressive light effects, pop colors in a dark sea. When the sun sets and the moon rises, the environment reveals secrets which will surprise and astonish you.
